Hewland L.G. 500 transaxle was originally sold by Toluca Lake Classic Motorsports.emoved from a Lola race car powered by a General Motors small-block V8.features an aluminum case, four forward gears, and a limited-slip differential.Hewland was founded in 1957 and became a successful supplier of motorsports transaxles for race car constructors. This four-speed transaxle is a reproduction of the Hewland L.G. 500 and was sold new by Toluca Lake Classic Motorsports in the 1990s. Whereas the original gearboxes featured a magnesium case, this reproduction is constructed from aluminum. The case is finished in dark gray paint, and the seller notes that it was removed from a Lola race car.
The transaxle features 10/33 ring and pinion gears with a final drive ratio of 3.30:1. The input shaft has 1 1/8”x10 splines, and the output shafts use 108mm constant velocity joints.
